Integration of Life Experience through Yantra Art
Where have I come from? What is my personal narrative of experience? How do I set my heading and to where?
Experienced yantra art, sacred drawing, while serenaded with solo guitar and live poetry readings in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. All art materials provided as well as an introduction to yantra, including yantra symbolism from several traditions.
Workshop / Activity was a success.
I am always happily amazed when discrete categories in a threaded idea always seem to overlay, intersect, and form a continuum.
In the KY activity, the aim, as it should, creates the field in which the Karma of KY plays out. Subtle interest, which I 'ahahed', was really desire. That subtle desire for acknowledgement, praise, status, etc. becomes the tail end of becoming a non-doer. The non-doer is really the Universal Ego.
Foregoing the fruit of action is non-attachment. The more we become non-attached, the more we operate in the present where we can be aware of our subtle self-interest, become a non-doer, and merge in Universal Ego, the Self.
YSC activity today on KY in depth: In this activity we will utilize the four directions SHIELDS that we used previously. Here the four will be Aim; Subtle Self Interest (desire); foregoing the Fruit of Action (non-attachment); and universal Ego (becoming a non-doer).
Aim: as in posting earlier, the picture of what experience got you to the path of yoga or moved you back to the path after a time away.
Subtle Self-Interest: image an experience where you were acting selflessly but saw a subtle self interest. But, you saw the experience through as a witness to that subtle self interest.
Fruit of Action: image an experience where you were pleasantly surprised by the outcome or fruit.
Universal Ego: image an experience where you brought a feeling lightness, playfullness to your actions.

C1: Think of an experience in the past that either got you started on the path of yoga or moved you in the direction of yoga like a skip in your walking
C2: Tool you use to remind you of your aim or which helps you move toward your aim
C3: Someone or something (animate or inanimate) that is a support for your aim
C4: Your Aim
Yajna, sacrifice, is a state of inaction in action. Here the actor or doer is observing from a distance the actions of the mind/body complex and one does not feel as though one is doing the action. Thus, one feels that the body is acting out of a natural impulse, prarabdha karma, that was set in motion in previous births, including the present birth. The gunas, which make up the body, are thus interacting with the gunas as objects in the objective or outer world.
Language on how this process unfolds is necessarily limited due to the fact that the experience of being a non-doer is beyond the mind's conceptual realm.
Who is there when I feel that I exist? Existence with consciousness and bliss, not me as separate doer. My son and I became one today in this meditation.
I remember rainy Saturdays at the 601 house. The TV was now off as there were just the ball games on and the cartoons were over. I was so lethargic then, tamas overpowering me for long stretches of time. I remember that soft, warm couch where you could stretch out, long and free. Everyone else, at least 13, were off somewhere else, although I could sense mom's energy as she worked to maintain the harmony and lifestyle we were accustomed to.
Then, it would rain, warm cooling rain would turn the humidity from 90's something to about 60. I felt alive and communed with that rain, experienced it deeply in oneness.
